Some of you guys may recall my last post on my blog about the Clip System plunger comparison between the Longshot, the Standard Reverse Plunger found in blasters like the Recon, and the Centurion's massive reverse plunger. Comparing the Longshot and the Centurion plungers, I found some notable similarities despite the two being different PT types in general.  Anyways if you happened to notice, the Longshot has a buffer with an o ring around it to prevent any leakage that pushes on the plunger head when primed until it locks into the catch. This buffer is linked directly to the main breech. The Centurion however uses this buffer as the sole plunger head and set up in a reverse fashion unlike the standard reverse tubes, this is a definite increase in dead space but like the LS and unlike the Recon and it's dozen or so clones, the spring is housed inside the PT itself but in opposite directions due to function. Also remember the Centurion has air release slits so the seal is shit right out of the box no matter how good the o ring is. End result of my experimentation is this.  Red= Dead Space Green= AR Grey= Spring Yellow= Air Release Hole Basically this diagram is rough interpretation of how a direct plunger conversion to the blaster will go. This new system operates almost exactly like the Longshot. This trashes the gearbox system which will cause a tougher prime but I'm pretty sure it wont be too difficult if you stick with the stock spring. The dead space is eliminated and the old plunger head is moved down to serve as the buffer. A new plunger head is crafted by whatever means and the slits are plugged. To top it all off, throw in a simple catch system and bingo. It's proably a whole lot more work than it's worth and I haven't even tried it myself nor have I bought one of the stupid things yet. Its a nice idea, but are you going to use PVC and other stuff like that for the new internals? And how are you gonna attach the barrel to the bolt that primes the blaster?

The bolt is the exact same as the stock one, I will just modify it to feed more efficiently. As is the PT itself, I just need to fill the holes in. The new direct plunger rod may be on I pull out of another Centurion(No way I'm spending 100 bucks on one blaster) or make from scratch with PVC like a PumpSnap.
